Sometimes, children experience problems in their social, emotional, or behavioral wellness. We believe that children learn and express themselves best through the act of play. During therapy sessions, child-directed and therapist-directed play therapy techniques will be utilized to assist your child in expressing and understanding their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Some issues that can be addressed in therapy include anxiety, emotional disturbances, family conflict, self-esteem, ADHD symptoms, behavioral issues, life transitions, oppositional-defiance, peer relationships, and school issues.
At times, older children and adolescents struggle during this transitional period in life. the transition from childhood to adulthood can be a confusing time. During sessions with the therapist play therapy techniques and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy will be utilized to assist your child or adolescent in understanding their thoughts, feelings, and the effects on behaviors. Some issues that can be addressed in therapy include anxiety, depression, self-esteem/positive self-concept, coping skills, emotional disturbance, family conflict, mood disorders, ADHD symptoms, behavioral issues, life transitions, oppositional-defiance, peer relationships, school issues, and stress management,
Life can be a challenge and sometimes people need someone on their team to help them work through the challenges life throws at us.
